The Save Pets of Ukraine campaign was launched in the UK to help thousands of animals in the war-torn country.
Run by the non-profit U-Hearts Foundation, the campaign was launched earlier this year in response to the war in Ukraine, providing abandoned animals with the food and vaccines needed to survive. To date, the organization has distributed 414,600 tons of pet food and purchased 1,000 rabies vaccines.
The foundation has partnered in the UK with the Pet Industry Federation (PIF) and Spottydog Communications to raise awareness of the campaign, with a presence at PATS Telford this weekend (25-26 September) to help kick off the donations.
Spottydog Communications will represent the campaign at the show, raising awareness and welcoming all exhibitor donations. PATS will donate all items from the new product display showcase to the campaign.
All donations made over the two days will be collected by Crown SDS courier, who have agreed to store all donations in their warehouses free of charge before they are collected and transported to Ukraine.
U-Hearts was founded in early 2022 by Ukrainian pet food manufacturer Kormotech. The foundation began operations by providing pet food and has now expanded to provide medical care in shelters.
Founder and Managing Director Yuriy Tokarski said, “With a growing call for help in Ukraine, our collective goal is to raise as many donations as possible to see Ukrainian pets through the harsh winter and provide them with the necessities they need. they need to survive.
“We hope this campaign can unite the UK pet industry and raise awareness of what remains a major ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Pets can’t save themselves from war, but you can!
