ALEXANDRIA, VA–On August 12, three talent agencies in Virginia, the City of Alexandria, Arlington Countyand Fairfax County— announced the creation of the Northern Virginia Local Talent Agencies (NVLAA). This new agency will expand resources and opportunities for artists and arts organizations throughout the Washington, DC metro area.

NVLAA is made up of employees of Alexandria Arts Office, Arlington Bureau of Cultural Affairsand ArtsFairfax. The goals of the organization are to provide artists and arts organizations throughout the Northern Virginia region with a series of free professional development workshops and networking opportunities.

“As local talent agencies, we strive to meet artists and organizations where they are professionally located,” says an NVLAA representative. “Northern Virginia artists travel, create, and perform throughout the region, and local Northern Virginia arts agencies extend this community building to help artists build new relationships and learn new skills.”

This fall, NVLAA will launch four virtual workshops. All workshops are free and require pre-registration. To register for an NVLAA workshop, visit NVLAAfall2022.eventbrite.com.
