Jhe campaign for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake spent $55,000 on Trump properties in 2021, according to a report filed Saturday with the Arizona secretary of state.
The former president included Lake, whom he endorsed in September, as featured speaker during his Saturday night rally in Arizona.
Mar-a-Lago received the majority of the money, accepting five payments totaling $52,000 between September and November. Lake hosted a November fundraiser at the Palm Beach club, where the former president addressed his supporters.Tickets for this event ranged from $1,000 to $30,000, according to an invitation obtained by Stacey Barchenger of the Republic of Arizona.
The same week as this event, Lake lost an additional $3,300 at Trump’s nearby Palm Beach golf course. Lake’s campaign separately reported spending money at Trump’s hotels in Chicago and Washington, D.C.
Lake made no contributions to his own campaign, meaning all funds spent on Trump properties came from donors.
Spokespersons for the Lake campaign and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
